Bellecôte was born in Germany where she spent her childhood.
She has lived in France since 1961, is married, and devoted her early years to family and professional life.
She discovered her passion for painting during a long stay in Tunisia.
The special lighting and bright colours captivated her immediately.
Upon her return to France she briefly worked in an artist’s studio but very soon preferred to work on her own, free of any conformity and listening only to her inner self.
The talent of her brush is filled with the free play of creative imagination and dream.
She has participated in many exhibitons. Her works have been rewarded by
numerous prizes and medals, most notably the « Médaille d’Argent de la Ville de Paris », 1987.
A number of french cities have also awarded medals for her paintings.
Art collectors from all over the world : France, Germany, USA, Switzerland,
Canada, Australia, India, South Africa – have purchased her works at her privat
exhibitons.
